Release Notes - Sama Hub Upgrades
Updated at May 4th, 2023
Better access, better data, the new Sama Hub
To make accessing your annotation data easier, and monitoring your ongoing projects simpler, the Sama Hub has been redesigned, placing the information that's most important to you front and center.
The Sama Hub is the home for all your annotation projects, monitoring tools, and reporting data. Being able to access these key metrics enables you to evaluate the impact annotations have on your business. This upgrade modernizes the interface, making it easier to find the data that empowers your workload.
What's changing
Navigating through the Sama Hub is about to change for the better. You'll be able to check task status, review tasks, access reports, and monitor annotations. To accompany this change, articles have been created to guide you through the changes, and how to access the new features:
Surrounding all these changes is a brand-new interface, designed with ease of use in mind.
Dashboard tab breakdown
The Dashboard is your landing page when you access a project from your project list. This page provides some key metrics for your project, organized in 2 sections - bar graphs, and a pie chart.
The bar graphs provide details on your various active tasks, and their current status. These graphs are broken into 3 sections:
- New: This bar provides the total number of tasks uploaded to this project that have yet to be actioned.
- In flight: This bar provides the total number of tasks that are currently being worked on by associates.
- Delivered: This bar provides the total number of tasks that have been uploaded, and have had their annotations completed.
The pie chart provides insight into your uploaded tasks, allowing you to review the total number of tasks that have been uploaded to the project within the specified time frame.
Tasks tab breakdown
The Tasks page is incredibly straightforward, showing a complete list of tasks uploaded to the project, alongside the date and time they were updated. This page also shows the task's current upload status.
The tasks page can be filtered based on all visible headers, allowing you to see only those tasks relevant to you.
Quality tab breakdown
The Quality tab allows you to sample a portion of submitted tasks in a project. When you're on the quality tab, you can select the desired sample size from a percentage of total tasks, and a quality sample will be generated. The annotations and ongoing work for these tasks can then be reviewed for accuracy.
This Quality and sampling process is managed separately from Sama's in-depth internal review and QA process. Using this tab, the data being reviewed will have already been seen by a dedicated team. These reviews will not show up in this list, as only user-initiated quality reviews are displayed.
