Release Notes | Editing 3D cuboids from the 2D output
Updated at January 9th, 2024
Feature released October 10th, 2023
Edit from anywhere
3D cuboids can now be modified and fine-tuned in 2D space, without switching views.
Optimizing annotation means more than improving performance and releasing new tools. Finding opportunities to refine how you use the annotation workspace provides tangible value, improving time-per-task in leaps and bounds.
With this release, new controls are being added that enable modifications to the 3D cuboid while observing and annotating objects in the 2D workspace.
📘 Note
This feature works especially well with Cuboid creation in 2D, so check that release note out as well
How it works
This release introduces 2 new functions to the 2D workspace:
- A toggle button to switch between 2D and 3D shape editing
TOGGLE BETWEEN 2D AND 3D SHAPES
TILDE key
Using this key, you can switch between modifying the position of 3D or 2D shapes using the WASD and ARROW shortcut keys. Each controlled shape has to be moved independently.
|
- A toggle button to enable or disable 3D cuboid visibility
- While the visibility can be disabled for 3D shapes, pressing the movement or rotation keys while in 3D mode will continue to move the selected cuboid.
