Start Annotating a Task

Start Annotating
To start annotating on a project, click on the Production tab for the project. Select the Step you want to work on. You should see a page similar to the below.
Start Work
Click on the Start Work button to begin annotating. If there are no available tasks in the project's queue, you will see an error message saying that “No available tasks found”. This could be because there are no tasks waiting to get worked on in that step, because all tasks are already reserved to other users who are working on them, or because all the tasks in that step are parked.
Select QA Group
If you are working on a QA Step, you have the option to choose to work on a specific QA group. QA groups are used to focus review on a specific set of tasks based on who submitted the task in the previous step. The idea is to allow production teams to divide their team into sub-teams, where one QA is assigned to review the work of specific annotators. These QA Groups are defined in the QA Step Allocation settings page.
The first two QA groups in the list are available by default:
- General: This group will include all tasks which are not covered by the other QA groups.
- Skipped: This group will include tasks which were not submitted by anyone in the previous step. This can be the case when tasks are rejected directly to the QA step in the workflow.
Any other QA group in the list is manually configured in the workflow settings. The group is defined by listing users whose submissions on the previous step will get reviewed as part of that QA group.
